Epic. There isn't much more to be said.

This is actually some pretty awesome stuff. Perhaps you're not going to finish this, but please don't let it go to waste.

public class HelloWorld {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("Hello, World");
}
}

Public Void as in this? :) Don't have a genre in mind for this. I'd classify this as a form of techno influenced by hardstyle, chiptune and/or dubstep? Or something. In these cases, I suppose it's called "dance". :P In my strange mind, this would make for an ideal track in a post-apocalyptic Lemmings game. >.<

What's up with the score? 'tis ambient. If this were to appear in a game, somewhere where your focus isn't on it directly, then I'm betting people would love it.

Perhaps the synth you introduce at 1:50 is a bit too screechy. Perhaps people were expecting something uptempo. Still, I don't quite understand the score.

Mrmilkcarton responds:

It's a mix of two styles. The before and the after combined.

Solid hardstyle, perhaps a bit sparse on the ambient front. Didn't mean to be hypercritical in my past reviews, but in places I was.

For what it's worth, I enjoy your music whatever the genre; and frankly, you shouldn't give a shit what we think as long as you're making something that's awesome. If you can see its worth, others will too. I forgot that myself -- it was nearly the death of me.

Anyhow, I'll be listening.

culmor30 responds:

I didn't think you were too critical! I need feedback so I can improve :)

I'm very indecisive about nearly everything in my life (like which art to practice, which subject to study, which genre to master) so I just try to do it all. I guess I'll never be really great at making one specific genre, but that's okay with me because I'd probably get bored of it pretty quickly. Music is only one of my creative outlets, anyway.

I'm glad you stick around though, it means a lot to me that someone is enjoying my music and it encourages me to make more. Someday I hope I can blow your mind with an awesome track like you've never heard before. And then I can become famous like Skrillex and snort cocaine off hookers' tits to fuel my creativity. Haha, not really. That's not me. Anyway, I should get to bed. Thanks for listening :)

You obviously had a lot of fun making this, it carries through. I had a lot of fun listening to this. :D This is the good stuff, it's hard to put this into something that's strongly structured (in my limited experience).

Mrmilkcarton responds:

Haha ya it was a fun song to make, was literally time for me to rethink my mixing process.

Good to hear from you, not much of a dubstep man myself, but then again, it feels to me as though dubstep's simply like glitch got cleaned up and then went mainstream in a zombie consisting of dnb, house and a small spill of trance. :( I tried to give a reasonable score, I've heard enough dubstep to do that.

Sorry to the dubstep fans out there, didn't mean this as flame bait, just my opinion on the matter.

culmor30 responds:

Ah well, thanks for reviewing anyway. Have you heard all the different sub-genres of dubstep? People like to argue about what "true" dubstep is, but I like most of the variations. Try something like Phaeleh - Perilous if you don't like the trance/glitch sound that Skrillex/Zeds Dead/etc. have.

Ear Candy

Thanks for sharing this, very smooth, solid work. As for titles, when I can only come up with insipid titles (writer's block or whatever) I simply make them Latin.

Google Translate says, "Ponies Forever" roughly translates to "Mannulus Aeternum". Sounds deep though.

culmor30 responds:

Oh hey, you're still around? I thought everyone I used to know here would be gone by now :p

Glad you like, also.

You know...

Your music seems to wrap a world around me, or said in a converse manner, you put me into your music. It's like my mind has something to explore, rather than just listen to.

It's a pleasure to hear your work, thanks for sharing this one.

HEY

"Get that Chiptune outa mai Techno." Is probably what a lot of people where thinking. I personally love this kinda thing. From what I know though, Techno likes being sparkly clean and predictable, but yeah, I generally don't like Techno (obviously). Perhaps this might have done better in the Drum 'n Base category?

Qelaion responds:

I think Video Game music would be a much better place for this :P

Thanks for reviewing!
