6 minutes well spent

Good "sketch". Loop jumps a tiny smidgen (a kind of dwarf, I think =P).

culmor30 responds:

I exported it to wrap the rendered tail, it should loop fine outside of the NG player (which does not buffer at all and makes me angry).

Good

Didn't really like the voice all that much, but I guess it's a matter of taste.

I'm a bit of a dork, so here's an Emotional Gratification Graph (EGG) which I just invented, if you'd like others to use it, simply describe it in your author comments -- or not: =P

/ 0:41 -/ 1:14 / 1:36 \- 2:34

Ledgend:
/ = Drastically better
-/ = Slightly better
\- = Slightly worse
\ = Drastically worse
... = Getting boring

culmor30 responds:

Haha, awesome graph there. Am I reading it right? (/ goes with 0:41, \- with 2:34?)

Awesome

Really, this is awesome, I haven't enjoyed a trance track this much in a while.

If I must nitpick, a small bit of compressor tweaking should get rid of the slight clipping at the start.

Endeavour responds:

Thanks' a lot for the review jtza8 =),
And im very glad you liked it that much !,

I already tried to compress the start, but it pairs with a great loss in overal volume,
Untill i found a way to prevent that, i cannot change it. it might only ruin it.

Thanks again though,
Endeavour

Congratulations :P

Cheeky atmosphere, well mixed. Everyone seems to like it lots, including me. :D

culmor30 responds:

Yay :D

Interesting

Doing something different every now and then is good :), it's when one learns the most IMHO.

What I'm about to say might just make you say WTF in confusion, as I'm pretty good at not making sense when being abstract. Simply focus on the cause as opposed to the effect of what I'm saying and it might make sense. :P

Sometimes there's a sense of ambiance that swallows me whole in music, something like ghosts haunting me. I can't see it, but I sure as hell can feel it. That's what this piece might need more of (depending on what you were going for).

It's like listening to a cold wind, and feeling it getting bloody cold. Or like listening to birds in a forest, and feeling lost in a huge space. In this way, music creates a sense of synaesthesia that everyone experiences.

The infamous MrMilkcarton did this rather well when he wrote music for the game "Penguinz" (see http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/221910).

Regardless, what you have here is good, and it's always a pleasure reviewing your music. =)

culmor30 responds:

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I made most of this while i was... intoxicated, lol. I wasn't really going for anything :D

Heh

Seems this is too "black-hearted" for most. :P I suppose it carries emotions that you can't relate to unless you've experienced them yourself.

Emotionally awesome; awesomely dark - good job.

culmor30 responds:

Yeah p:

Also thanks for reviewing so much, you're seriously my most reliable reviewer :D

Hmm....

Well, I don't really know what to say, but yeah, I think this is a good experiment.

I dare you though, to mix melody with "noise" and maybe even a whole tone scale, key changes or tempo changes, and create something with strong contrast that sucker-punches the listener throughout. XD

Lol. Anyway, you're doing good. I'm just wondering what you're going to do next. :D

culmor30 responds:

Mix melody with noise, you say? I might have to try that.

Spontaneous

High energy in this one, often those compositions done in the shortest time have the most life in them. I personally tend to over-think things when they take too long. As for what I mean with energy, even fast-paced songs can be dead emotionless -- this isn't.

culmor30 responds:

:D

and I just noticed it loops almost perfectly too.

Interesting

I guess this was an experiment.... Didn't like a lot of it, but what came after 1:35 really has potential.

culmor30 responds:

Yeah lol, just messing with all sorts of filters.

Eminent

Keep it heavy and dirty, this is awesome. Industrial music is tricky, but you got it down to a tee here.

culmor30 responds:

Good to know someone other than me likes it, my RL friends tell me to make more generic shit :[
