Good game

Personally, I freed the entire town and then the remaining 47 survivors all crammed into the helicopter and flew off, leaving behind all their hard work for an uncertain future. :P

Perhaps it would have been a good idea to add some sort of ending for re-capturing the entire town and ending the zombie plague? Doesn't really feel like Left 4 Dead, although that must have been an inspiration. :)

Very Enjoyable

Perhaps starting out in the shop would be a good idea, after the first few play-throughs when there's a little money to spend. Good game, well designed, well balanced, well executed... Could perhaps have done a little better on the sea texture, but that's a minor detail.

Kudos dude, you've done well.

Congratulations!

This means your game is in a new class. Things I would suggest:
* More music (There's an entire audio portal out there, and we don't mind waiting two more minutes.)
* I like the "constant shooting" concept as found in several shoot-em-ups, perhaps though, you could re-consider the system, adding in something like overheating or some such thing, to increase the "difficulty" (or at least the amount of things the player needs to take into consideration.)
* Perhaps you could consider hardness levels (such as easy, normal, hard). They could simply change the speed at which enemies come, or add more armour to them, or increase the amount of experience points a player needs to level up, or something. :)

What I liked:
* Really good use of 3D.
* Good graphics over-all.
* Experience and health points.

Game Design Question?

Great game, hard but fun. :) I'm just wondering why you didn't give the lead characters names?

titch007uk responds:

Because the story is a parody of JRPG's, and one of the standard elements of that is being able to name the main character.

Plus I suck at character names XD.

Congratulations

For a first game, this is really good. Well thought out and kept simple, which to me makes a good game (even if a game itself is complex, see board game "Go").

There is Potential

This could become a really good game. To me, the ball is too bouncy and drawing lines when the ball isn't moving is too easy. How about drawing lines while it's bouncing? That would open up options for level design to which should make designing levels easier, and playing them more challenging.

Dark-moo responds:

levels are created from lines using the

movieclip.lineTo(X,Y) command :p I'm working on an easier system currently. and to making the level when the ball is moving removes some of what makes it tricky :)

Repetitive Strain Injury

Good game, I just don't know how long a mouse would hold under this kind of punishment. The concept is a little repetitive, though.

Made it to level 11 in the campaign, but I must say that having a tablet makes things easier than using a mouse.

Loading Ads

To me it didn't go any further than that. I waited for at least 5 minutes. Anyway, I don't think people like seeing the message "loading ads" because that means they can't play the actual game until they viewed the ads. From where I'm standing I think that it would be better if the ads where loaded with the game. Sadly I was unable to play the actual game.

I can't really give this game a rating, because I never got to the actual game. Anyhow, here's a 5.

Exceptional

This is one of the best flash games that I have seen in years. Everything from the story, and original style, to the technically impressive flash-light and shadows.

This game is... is... very close to perfect.

Consistancy is Key

The graphics of this game were of a high quality and all in the same style, making for a flawless transition from one level to the next. The game-play kept my attention throughout, and the GUI didn't get in my way.

There was a slight problem with the preloader. It stopped after loading, but didn't put me through to the actual game, so I had to close the window and re-open it (no problem loading from the cache). Maybe it's simply because I played this on a Mac.

Anyhow, the clean and simple design of this game, and the well flowing style of play kept me playing, and playing. Kudos to the author.
